about us

Our vision consists of serving Christ by addressing the spiritual needs and support of our congregation, strong Christian educational opportunities for all ages, promoting fellowship for members and visitors, and dedication to community outreach and social justice programs.

We have a rich heritage of service to community and have embraced leading edge missions in support of social justice. Our congregation openly supported integration in the 60's and worshipped jointly with a predominantly African American church; helped organize the first Martin Luther King, Jr., community wide service and continues to support it; led efforts to bring Habitat for Humanity to Longview and continues to support it; helped organize, and supports, Longview Community Ministries, which sponsors meals on wheels, food bank, and computer training; works with 10 local churches supporting Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network (LIHN), which provides a support system to homeless families, enabling them to become self-sufficient; provides financial support and volunteers to local charitable organization.

With the help of God, we look forward to continuing a ministry of support for our congregation and our community.
